The quick check does not replace a thorough analysis, but it can still provide an initial assessment of how your leadership culture is doing.

P – Positive Emotions (positive experiences and appreciation)

Start each week by intentionally giving positive feedback to an employee—whether for a strong performance or personal development.

E – Engagement (use strengths and foster flow)

  1. I know my own strengths and use them intentionally in my leadership work.
  2. I support my team in taking on tasks that match their strengths.

👉 Recommendation for action:

Use the next team meeting to talk with your team about which tasks come most naturally to them and where they see their greatest strengths.

R – Relationships (foster relationships and team culture)

  1. I consciously make time for personal conversations with my employees.
  2. I promote an open, trusting communication culture within the team.

👉 Recommendation for action:

Have at least one intentional conversation each week with an employee that goes beyond work topics. Show genuine interest in the people behind the work.

M – Meaning (communicate the meaning and purpose of work)

  1. I regularly communicate to my team the purpose and significance of their work.
  2. As a leader, I model values that are important to my team and the company.

Over the next week, make a point of clearly communicating the contribution the team makes through its work—whether for customers, the company, or society.

A – Accomplishment (celebrate successes and foster growth)

  1. I celebrate even small successes with my team and make progress visible.
  2. I actively support my employees in their professional and personal development.

👉 Recommendation for action:

At the end of each week, do a brief reflection: What successes did the team have? Actively share at least one of them with your team.

  • 40–50 points: You already practice Positive Leadership intensively—keep it up!
  • 30–39 points: You’re on a good path—see where you can continue to develop in a targeted way.
  • 20–29 points: You already have some foundations, but you can integrate Positive Leadership into your day-to-day work more intentionally.
  • 10–19 points: There’s great potential here! Start with a few small impulses to make your leadership more sustainable and positive.
